Millet, Wheat Grass and Barley Grass

Millet - Millet seeds may be tiny but they are loaded with nutritions.
When they have sprouted, millet is high in vitamins E, C and B, as well as phosphorus, pantothenic acid, magnesium, iron, calcium and protein.

Wheat Grass - They are basically young wheat plants packed with highly concentrated vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll and enzymes. Widely recognised as a superfood,the juice of wheatgass is easily digested and highly beneficial to the body.

Barley Grass - Best known for its alkalising and antioxidant properties, barley grass is a rich source of chlorophyll and many essential amd unique antioxidants. It contains a number of living enzymes and flavonoids, a wide range of amino acids, minerals and vitamins that make it an amazing food.

Oriental Greens (Cai Xin, Chinese Mustard)

Cai Xin - Also known as Choy Sum, Brassica parachinensis, it is a common Asian green with juicy, tender leaves, fleshy stems and small yellow flowers. The seeds germinate in about 4 to 5 days. They grow best in well drained soil under full sun and can be harvested 30 to 50 days upon sowing. Cai Xin leaves and stems can be lightly boiled, stir-fried or used in soups.

Chinese Mustard is a quick growing tropical vegetable. The seeds germinate in 4 days and they are ready for eating in about 40 days. The broad serrated leaves of the vegetable are bitter, so they are often pickled or braised with meat.

Daikon Radish & Sunflower

Daikon Radish - the sprouts have a mild spicy flavour which make them ideal for jazzing up a salad, sandwich or for garnishing. If sowed on the ground, they can grow quickly and mature in about a month.

Sunflower - Often described as the most delicious sprout, the young shoots are indeed crunchy, nutty and full of flavour. They are also packed with more vitamins and minerals than the seeds, yet lower in calories.

Pea Shoot Seed (dou miao)

Pea shoots, commonly known as dou miao, are the leaves and tendrils of the pea plant. Harvested when young and tender, they are dense in nutrients, carotene and valuable phytochemicals. Pea shoots can be flash fried in garlic or eaten raw in salads and sandwiches.
