My Vegetable Growing Kit

Kids can grow too!

Easi Garden's  My Vegetable Growing Kit provides a fun and hands-on activity for children to grow their own vegetables. It consists of vegetable seeds and naturally composted soil, packed in a handy box with step-by-step instructions.

Our Growing is Learning Programme for kids is established to encourage children to connect with nature and grow fresh vegetables from young. We realise that children today are removed from understanding the fragility of the plant ecosystem and where their food comes from.

My Vegetable Growing Kit offers the chance for children to grow vegetables by themselves and learn important lessons like the plant life cycle, caring for nature, and assuming responsibility.
Our goal is to provide children a hassle-free vegetable growing kit, so that they can sow, water and watch the vegetable grow. They can also harvest and taste their own effort afterwards.

The My Vegetable Growing Kit consists of vegetable seeds and naturally composted soil, packed in a handy box with step-by-step instructions and a plastic spoon. All they have to do is water daily and observe the various stages of germination and root development through the transparent walls of the kit.

Our specially blended soil provides enough nutrients until the plants mature, so there is no need to add any more soil, fertilizers or additives. To date, thousands of preschool and primary school students have used this kit as part of the science syllabus and in nature-appreciation activities in school.

Our selection of vegetable seeds include kang kong, cai xin, xiao bai cai and Chinese spinach.

  • Kang Kong - Also known as water Convolvulus, it is an aquatic and semiaquatic crop belonging to the Morning Glory family. The seeds germinate in 3-4 days and mature in 30 - 40 days. The vegetable has fleshy green hollow stems and is an excellent source of iron, calcium and Vitamin C and A. In most parts of South-East Asia, the leaves and stems are stir-fried with shrimp paste or used in soups.
  • Cai Xin - Also known as Choy Sum, Brassica parachinensis, it is a common Asian green with juicy, tender leaves, fleshy stems and small yellow flowers. The seeds germinate in about 4 to 5 days. They grow best in well drained soil under full sun and can be harvested 30 to 50 days upon sowing. Cai Xin leaves and stems can be lightly boiled, stir-fried or used in soups.
  • Xiao Bai Cai - Also commonly known as 'bok choy', the broad green leaves, which taper to white stalks, are crisp and crunchy. It is one of the easiest and most productive vegetables in the tropics. It is delicious as a stir fried dish. The seeds germinate in 4 days and mature in 30-40days.
  • Spinach – Our variety of Chinese Spinach is also known as hot-climate spinach. Rich in iron, vitamin A, B & C, it is best eaten stir-fried or in soups. The tiny seeds germinate in about 3 days and mature in about 30 to 40 days.

We hope that you would join the growing number of primary and pre-school kids who are using My Vegetable Growing Kits to experience the fun of growing today.
